What is this all about?
As you may, or may not know, Deja Vu currently hosts its own masterserver. His plan is to attract new players to his (fake) 'full' server, but when you enter it something changes in your DeusEx.ini file (this server is the one with all the yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy in front of it). On this masterserver he is practically a GOD. He can enter your PC and change everything he wants. On this masterserver he also can exclude any server he wishes. For instance the [A] servers are gone and the [RTK] one too. So if you don't see these servers appear on your serverlist, you've probably been hit. So what to do now?
Finding out if its happened to you
Load up DX, load up the MP server list.
If you get a page claiming to be the "DXMP.net" masterserver, telling you to refresh before viewing servers, you have been hit.
Enter your Deusex/system folder, open up your Deusex.ini and look for anything saying "DXMP.net" you can do this simply by pressing "Ctrl+F" and entering "DXMP.net" and hitting "Find Next"
If it says "Cannot Find DXMP.net" then your fine, if you get a result, you have been hit.
FIXING THE PROBLEM
Open your Deusex/system folder. Then access your "Deusex.ini" Once open, press "Ctrl+H" and it should open a "Replace" box.
In the "Find What" Field, simply type "DXMP.net"
In the "Replace With" field, simply type "Gamespy.com"
then press "Replace all"
Right. Part one complete
Now, open up your "Default.ini" and repeat
thats "Ctrl+H" to open the "Replace" box.
In the "Find What" Field, simply type "DXMP.net"
In the "Replace With" field, simply type "Gamespy.com" once more!
That should get your DX serverlist back to normal
